It was a nice cold day in February and where were Katelyn and I headed? TD Banknorth Garden for the 2009 Beanpot. It was the BU Terriers vs. the Harvard Crimson (way lame to have a color for a mascot by the way). Katelyn got there super early so she could get really awesome seats. I however had work and got a lot of grief for leaving an hour early but alas I made it there with Anna and Giovanna and things were great until Anna and I tried to get through with our bags... aparently bags are not allowed even if they are your purse and apparently there is a difinitive size that is allowed for a bag to be labeled a purse and ours fell outside the range. But Anna managed to sweet talk us in and it was great! For a while the score was 2-0 not in BUs favor which was crazy because Harvard stinks and we are ranked freakin' #1 in the nation but we came back and managed to win it 4-3. It was a game that kept us on the edge of our seats, or would have if we had sat down at all. And to validate us even more BC lost to Northeastern by something like 6-1. That's right BC really does suck.
So the next Monday came aroud and we were supposed to play at 8:00 and I unfortunately was a complete chode and had to stay home and study for a test that I had the next day. But I watched the whole game on TV and we beat #3 Northeastern and the most annoying fans known to mankind 5-2 with 3 goals coming when BU was short handed. I've never been into hockey but it was super exciting and BU yet again has bragging rights and the Beanpot for yet another year! Go team!
